Mentoring Program Overview

Fresh Start is searching for professional women in the community to mentor and motivate women to achieve their potential. A Mentor affects the career progression and/or personal development of a Mentee by providing insight, identifying required knowledge, and expanding growth opportunities. Mentees gain insight beyond their own education and experiences.

The Fresh Start Mentoring Program is goal-based and supports focus on one of five tracks: education, career advancement, financial independence, entrepreneurship and personal development.  Mentors are matched with Mentees based on their own unique personal profiles. The program unites women in transition with female volunteer Mentors who can provide accountability and follow-through on goal completion.

Mentoring relationships last a duration of 12-18 months. Mentoring pairs are expected to meet twice per month and converse on a weekly basis.

Mentors
All potential Mentors are required to complete an application and background check followed by an in-person interview. After completion of the interview, prospective mentors will attend orientation. New Mentor orientations are offered once a quarter. The Mentoring Staff is available for ongoing support and communication for both the Mentors and Mentees.
If you are interested in becoming a mentor please complete the Mentoring Application.
